Well, if you want to get technical, they’re the 1byone Bluetooth 4.1 Wireless In-Ear Headphones, Sports Earphones with HD Stereo Sound & Modern, Sweat-proof, and Ergonomic Design, Black. At least that’s the full name on Amazon. And here’s the 1Byone link.
The packaging was pretty premium for the price. I really liked the magnetic closure of the box and the nice cloth of the drawstring carrying bag. The earbuds use a standard micro-usb charging cable. The sound was great and I was pleasantly surprised by the battery life. In fact, the only real negative I can say about the earbuds is that, even with the smallest earbud tips, the earbuds themselves were too large to ever be a comfortable fit. They would work their way out of my ears at the rate of once every 5-10 minutes. I’ve never had this issue with standard wired earbuds before, so this may be common to all Bluetooth earbuds. Standard Apple Earpods fit me quite comfortably.
Assuming the uncomfortable fit was an outlier due to my ear canal size, I was otherwise quite pleased by these earbuds. I also appreciated how the earbuds displayed a battery status indicator on my iPhone when they are paired. While paired and receiving a call, my iPhone displays the option of using either the phone or the earbuds for the audio of the call. This was great when I received a call after I had put down the earbuds on my desk and walked into another room.
If you’re looking for a reasonably priced set of bluetooth earbuds you could do far worse.
Disclosure – 1byone provided these earbuds free of charge in return for an honest review.
Rating 8/10: Good sound quality and decent tech, but they never felt comfortable in my ears.
